The Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints got the jockeying for position in the 2022 NFL Draft off to an early start with a massive trade Monday.
New Orleans will receive the No. 16 and 19 overall picks in the upcoming draft, while Philadelphia will get the No. 18 pick as well as 2023 first-round and 2024 second-round selections. There was also a swap of a few mid-round picks.
The Eagles have agreed to trade picks No. 16, 19, and 194 to the Saints in exchange for picks No. 18, 101, 237, a 2023 first-round pick, and a 2024 second-round pick. pic.twitter.com/9VZCJBWovx

For the Saints, it's a move that should help the team to add talent immediately with a pair of top 20 picks. The Eagles will jettison one of those selections to add more firepower in upcoming drafts. Philadelphia also owns the No. 15 selection thanks to a trade with the Miami Dolphins during the 2021 NFL Draft.
New Orleans is set to enter the 2022 season with Jameis Winston back at quarterback, while the Eagles appear set to stick with Jalen Hurts.
